Volunteer at the SKSLL Concession Stand and Make a Difference!
Volunteering at the SKSLL Stand is a fantastic way to make a big impact on our league. As a volunteer-based organization, our stand not only supports our players but also offers our youth volunteers valuable real-world experience. With new players joining every year, we are always on the lookout for individuals willing to share their skills, talents, and knowledge to ensure a memorable experience for our youth—both on and off the field.
Stand Operation Details:
- The stand will be open throughout the season and can be Monday through Saturday starting in late March and continuing until early to mid -June.
- Food handlers are required for individuals working with food in the stand. You can easily obtain your Food Handler's Permit by completing the food safety training at your convenience here. The course costs $10, but the league will cover this fee once you email us requesting an access code.
- We like to have a strong crew of teenagers that are trained on all operations of the concession (except the grill) so that they can be gain real work experience and be an asset to the concession's operation.
- We are also looking for a solid team of cooks for the grill so that it can lessen the burden on the manager and no one has to be in there all the time.
How to Get Involved:
- SKSLL families are required to commit to two shifts in the stand or choose to buy out via a $40 fee at time of registration.
- If you're interested in volunteering, or have a teenager that wants to volunteer and be a part of our crew, please reach out to Leah at [email protected]
Together, we can ensure the success of our stand and provide a great experience for everyone involved! The concession is one of our main sources of income so its success helps keep the fees down for registration too.
